A Multi-Output Flyback Transformer is a magnetic component designed for flyback switching power supplies requiring multiple isolated output voltages from a single input. It transfers energy through the magnetic core during high-frequency switching operation and provides independently isolated secondary outputs for different loads within the same power system.

The multi-output design allows a single flyback power supply to deliver multiple voltage rails simultaneously, helping simplify circuit architecture and reduce the space required for separate power conversion stages. With a compact structure and flexible output configuration, it is suitable for power supplies where multiple isolated voltages, reliable operation, and efficient power conversion are required.

Working Principle

A Multi-Output Flyback Transformer operates by storing and transferring energy through a magnetic core under high-frequency switching conditions. When the primary-side switch is turned on, current builds in the primary winding and magnetic energy is stored in the core. When the switch turns off, the stored energy is transferred to the secondary windings through electromagnetic induction.

Multiple secondary windings can be configured to provide different isolated output voltages for separate loads. By selecting appropriate winding turns ratios and magnetic parameters, the transformer can support multiple output rails within a single flyback power supply while maintaining electrical isolation between the primary and secondary sides.

The high-frequency switching design enables compact magnetic construction and efficient power conversion, while the customized multi-winding configuration allows the transformer to meet different voltage, current, power, and isolation requirements.
