Flat coil inductors utilize a flat wire winding structure with tightly wound, flat turns. This structure increases the effective cross-sectional area of the wire and fully utilizes the core space, contributing to lower DC resistance within the same size, thereby reducing copper losses.

The core shape is matched to the coil design to minimize magnetic field leakage, providing shielding. The core is die-cast from an alloy material, which helps reduce magnetic losses and improve saturation current characteristics. The adjustable air gap in the core pillars can withstand large current surges. Leads are directly exposed as soldering terminals, preventing open circuits. The coil is wound with Grade C AIW enameled copper wire, offering solvent resistance and thermal stability. A special air gap structure inside the core prevents a sudden drop in inductance under current overload. The surface is coated for insulation. The triangular pad design enhances the strength of SMT soldering. The base uses a thermally conductive pad for support and heat dissipation, helping to control temperature rise.
